We left about 9:30 AM. Seems like we got into the sleep late mode real quick. We went about 70 miles and it was time for lunch at Schlotzsky’s in the town of Cross Roads and Highway 380. Low and behold who do we meet there.
Yes, it was prearranged. The food was really great and the company was even better. We BSed and then we all went our separate ways. Jim & Lisa will head for Yuba City and the WARE at the end of this month. After that, they head north to Alaska.
The wind was strong today and we’re glad we only did about 120 miles to Bridgeport, TX. There’s a Thousand Trails called Bay Landing there. The drive itself was nice but the wind took away from it.
Yes, we found a site next to the rest room/showers. A big rig would had to finagled to get into the site for sure. We just finagled a very little. We got 30 amp, water and a few TV stations. It’s too windy to set out. It’s SO WINDY if you get out of your chair it would blow away!
My Microsoft Streets & Trips says we only got 2,900 miles to get to Prince Rupert ferry dock. I just looked up our traveling days and we have only 2 days of over 200 miles. Yes we have a few places to stop for two nights if there any good. Not bad driving routine now considering I’ve done 1,100 miles in a 24 hour period. That was a little over 3 years ago in a 43 footer tag axle……nice ride…..but I was dead afterwards.
Retirement is not having to do anything for your work boss.
