Hey $13.50 for just Elect

Today was a total of 235 miles.  All Interstate 25.  Real nice and the wind was pushing us along.  We got gas in Loveland for $2.19 (9.6 mpg) and again later in Douglas, Wy and gas was $2.09 (9.4 mpg). Gas has been running about $2.30 and up a gallon.  If I see cheap gas and have less than a 3/4 tank I stop.  Got plenty of time and only going short distances each day.  Small camper with no real height means I can pull into anywhere just about.  I’ve already turned around in 2 lanes road to go look at something.  That’s nice….

Along the way…..DSC_0001DSC_0003DSC_0010DSC_0017DSC_0019DSC_0020DSC_0025DSC_0030DSC_0036DSC_0038DSC_0046DSC_0055DSC_0056DSC_0060DSC_0062DSC_0067

Our first stop was Ayres Natural Bridge about 20 miles northwest of Douglas, WY.  We were gonna spend the night but it was under construction thus no camping.  Anything over 30 foot is going to have some problems with the very narrow road.  “No camping over 30’” the sign said and I agree.

This bridge was big.  Carol is in the lower right.DSC_0074DSC_0069DSC_0078DSC_0079DSC_0081

This was a pretty big heard of Bison.  Up near Laird Hot Springs the heard is at least double.DSC_0084

We drove on another 25 miles or so and ended up in Glenrock, WY at a Passport America.  It was $13.50 for 30 AMP electric, free WiFi and cable TV.  Well worth the $13.50 at Deer Creek Village, WY (any size).  We got WiFi, cell phone and some local TV channels.  The park itself was a diamond in the rough.DSC_0093

About a dozen or so turkeys came thru just making their gobbling noises like crazy.DSC_0095

These turkeys came through again about 5:30AM this morning while I was doing the blog.  It was 30 degrees outside also.  Oh yea, when we spent the night at the Missile Silo park we had some hollowing coyotes that night.  They were close.  How close were they?  They were so close I wasn’t gonna open the camper door and see where they were.

Retirement is smelling the cow pastures and being glad you can…

See ya wen we see ya….
