To Salvation Mountain & Slab City

We decided to go for a little Jeep ride today down south to the Salton Sea and Slab City near Niland, CA. 

I thought it was strange but there were pelicans all over the shoreline of the Salton Sea.  

The Salvation Mountain story… then around it These people were leaving…

Then right next door is Slab City.

There were new RV’s around but we stuck with the older and unusual ones.

The few people we saw seemed nice.  We found the 1960’s and 1970’s.  Carol & I decided we would spend a week or two here.  There are no facilities what so ever for 50 miles.

Yesterday’s blog, April Fool’s Day, was just that……
