Dream Sickle Jeep

We were in no hurry this morning because we had only a 100 miles to go and couldn’t get into the next park until after 12 supposedly.  Oh, history was made the last two mornings.  I stayed in bed until almost 9 AM each day.  Damn, I slept half the day away.  Oh well, didn’t do anything anyhow.  Just watched the birds poo on the Beast (rig).  The birds seem to really like to dive bomb the orange Jeep for some reason.  Orange & white – it looks like a dream sickle.

We pulled out about 10 AM all shiny and hit 101 North.  The little sea side cities are starting to look a alike, hotels and eateries.   The trip was uneventful, yea.  The Beast doesn’t get to travel a hundred miles doing 45-50 MPH to often.  Scenery along the way….DSC_0001 DSC_0003 DSC_0006 DSC_0008 DSC_0016 DSC_0025 DSC_0030 DSC_0040 DSC_0023 DSC_0029 DSC_0032DSC_0045

The campground is a Coast To Coast park.  We stayed here over 10 years ago we think.  Not sure exactly when. The park hasn’t changed at all.  We checked in with a very friendly person. Then they led us down a very dusty road about 1/4 mile to our site, FHU 50 AMP, $13. The Jeep and the Beast are no longer shiny, just dusty as hell.  I think we are in Quartzsite all over again.DSC_0050 DSC_0051 DSC_0053 Here’s are neighbors DSCN1885

The campground sets up against this river that is about 3 miles from the ocean.  Great fishing we were told.DSCN1883

We went out looking for crabs but at $13 a pound we came back empty handed.  We had tuna on toast for $2  instead.  Hey, it’s seafood.

See ya….
