It rained most of last night like the hippy dippy weatherman said. We dumped and filled with fresh water. I also had to wash the mud we got in several external/open compartments. One was the LP tank compartment, another was the DEF compartment and the last one was what I call the muffler compartment. These places need to be kept reasonably clean to fill the necessary tank or change a fuse. It only took about a minute for each one using the non-potable water spigot at the dump station. Mean while I was also filling the fresh water tank and dumping the holding tanks. I was a busy little (big) beaver.
Well, 145 miles and no Mt McKinley. We stopped at several rest areas that said you could see the great mountain but it wasn’t the best weather. In the last 5 miles the mountain peaked it’s top out. Not the best of pictures but we got it.
We arrived at Talkeetna Camper Park about noon. It was $35 for electric/water. Several Loosey Goosey members arrived here a day or two earlier for various reasons. Some have a jet boat ride today and our group have it tomorrow.
