Today 7 June we traveled 80 miles to a spot we call the Bridge. It sets on the Gerstle River at the bridge. Nice large open gravel area. The turn is just about 100 yards before the bridge on the right as you head north towards Fairbanks. It is not marked.
The road was nice and we saw one moose (no pic). Here is the road out of Tok.
Us guys went 4 wheeling in the river…yes we did…the water was shallow in some areas and we crossed. We had one little part to get all the way cross but didn’t try it.
Later that evening Carol & I went driving around in the Jeep just looking… we found this old boy…...
We also found a place where we got ice cream.
We also found this fire burning in the interior of Alaska. The smoke might be a problem later on but not the fire itself.
We also found the Alaskan Pipeline.
Here are some bikers settling down around us plus they had about a 2 year kid with them.
All is well…
See ya…..
