Alaska Day 66 North Pole

It was hard only driving 12 miles to our next stop which is the North Pole. Yes, this is really the North Pole. Getting to the campground was pretty easy.DSC_0047

Luckily we didn’t do this. DSC_0046

Here we are.  FHU 30 AMP, cable TV, free WiFi, $35.05 for Good Samers.DSC_0049

They decorated their laundry room appropriately.DSC_0051

Now it’s time to go to the North Pole and pick up our mail.  Where’s Santa Claus? I can’t see him or Russia!DSC_0020DSC_0010DSC_0013 DSC_0015 DSC_0016  DSC_0023

No Rudolph…..DSC_0024

Here’s a fake Santa….notice the barbed wire.  I guess they don’t want anybody to to get to his butt.DSC_0026 DSC_0029

I found him.  I guess he don’t wear his outfit during the summer.DSC_0033

Santa’s RV Park is officially closed.DSC_0027 DSC_0028

I have no idea but I like it!DSC_0043

Now it’s social time again…the girls were playing with colored string.DSC_0002-1

Some more than others…DSC_0001-2

We went to the Pagoda Restaurant in North Pole.  This places knows how to prepare and present food. I would go back but would not eat for three days before hand. Great food – fair prices.  Makes sure to split any meal at least.DSC_0005

Tomorrow we go down the road for about 180 miles to some BLM land.

See ya……….
