May 6, 2011 we paid $4.13 for diesel. Now three years later at the same station we paid $3.99 for diesel. Now ain’t that something? Now if we could get the Canadian prices at the same prices from three years ago we would be alright – NOT!
We will leave here next Wednesday and cross over the border and head for Lethbridge and Bridgewiew RV Park there. On the way I think I will stop at the Cummins dealer and see if they can check the Babies DEF usage. I called Cummins and they said usage should be about 2 1/2 gallons per 1,000 miles. The Baby is about 4+ gallons per 1,000. It started out using about 2 1/2 gallons but has worked it’s way up. Hopefully they can check it and adjust without waiting all day long. I think it’s all computer adjustments. I got enough DEF to go 4,300 miles. That will get up us to Fairbanks and even Anchorage. If they adjust it right, I can go 7,000 miles. That’s a big difference.
This morning we went to a buffet breakfast at the Golden Corral restaurant with Ed & Sandy Kruty. It wasn’t bad for $15 bucks for two old farts.
Of course it was still cold and a little rain here and there all day long. Not a set out day for sure.
I’ve been trying to catch a picture of this hawk that’s been hanging around. Theirs a pair and I think this is the male due to the large size. 
About 2 PM here comes Sue & Jon Glick. We drove the orange Jeep down to a turn so they would know where to turn. They missed the turn the first time by themselves. 
Then we all got together later to socialize. Wow, did it get loud within everyone sharing. It was great! We’re trying to get rid of our extra booze that we can’t take across the border. 
Today Butch & Kathy Ford might be coming in. They’re the ones coming from Baltimore, MD and left last Thursday. They spent last night in Black Hawk near Rapid City, SD.
