We said our goodbyes last night so we pulled out of our site quietly as we could. I think it was about 8 AM. We stayed around 50 mph almost all of the 200+ miles and passed by only about a dozen vehicles.
Oh yea, we didn’t see any animals BUT we saw one owl setting on a sign next to the road. Plus one Eagle. It was a bird day…
On base is Black Spruce campground. It’s $33 for a pull thru FHU. We got a site first then went out to restock. We got gas which was $2.64 and we got 10.1 mpg on this tank. LP was $3 bucks a gallon.
Next was the grocery store. Military bases call them commissaries. Anyhow, there went $140. That’s worse than Walmart.
We had a very quiet night.
