A New Coach – Kinda New

We still don’t have the internet dish on the roof of our new coach.  We got the brake controller installed, solar panels back on the roof, one TV hooked up to the dish and scheduled major maintenance on the engine, chassis and generator for Monday here in Yuma.  The dealer plugged the coach into a small 10 AMP receptacle and it took a low voltage hit before we picked it up.  It burnt a computer board in the frig, AC/heat thermostat controller, blew a fuse and hit a default switch in the Hydro Hot. While we were there they plugged another coach into 240 volts.  Almost had a big fire. Their idiots!  I won’t mention Western Motorcoach here in Yuma. You want a bad example of a dealership – they’re it.  They out and out lied and it was so obvious to anybody but them.  How could we tell they were lying – their lips were moving! We took a walk over on the dark side and it was a place we never want to go again. It was hell week.

We had the coach washed and hand waxed yesterday while at Pilot Knob RV Park.  $100 bucks for a wash and hand wax which is hard to beat any where else.  Later Monday we move to Quartzsite for the internet datastorm dish to be reinstalled by Steve O’Bosky and the satellite changed to 127 for Alaska. The dish is in the car which looks kinda funny.

Oh, what is our new coach you might be wondering.  It’s a 2007 bank repro from a dealer in Washington state. New, never titled, full original manufacture warranties with 4,300 miles. It has a 400 Cummins (non smog motor), 2 stage Jake brake, 4 slides, full tile, real nice cherry wood cabinets, tan/brown full paint, a lot of tires, and it’s closer to a 45 footer than a 40 footer. It has two couches and a free standing dinette table.  One couch and the table will be replaced by a computer/dinette table and a computer work area like it was in our Farton. Oh, and the manufacture is still in business!  That narrows it down a lot. Pictures to follow…..

Off the blog until the internet dish goes up sometime this week, hopefully sooner than later.

See Ya…………………
