Well, 225 miles to Livingston, 4 rig caravan leaving about 9 AM and rain – what does it mean? It didn’t work this time. The rain screwed up the departing time. Why get soaked basically. Carol’s brother and us were ready the night before so we could and did leave about 9 AM. We said our good byes to all and departed. It was another blast at Betty’s with good friends. We had things we wanted to do in Livingston. We left in a light rain, drove in light rained and arrived in sunshine.
We got to work right away. We had to dig about a 40 foot trench for the new 50 AMP service at our extra site. Also we were going to raise the water and sewer connection. Then he was going to wire the barn for electricity with a service box, outlets and lights. This is Carol’s brother, Steven, the electrician doing the figuring. He does things only one way – the right way, he’s a real perfectionist because he is a true professional. He’s working me…. Here I’m suggesting that I go in town to get what ever he needs. Nope, didn’t work.
I broke the surface with a shovel and pick. He did the real digging.
And we (he) went into the darkness.
Coming in from the street. Steven said he needed to do some work here too.
He brought most of the stuff and two trips to Lowe’s about did it. He said the barn will be tomorrow after the out door site is completed.
The completed dig…….. for the 50 AMP piping.
During the day Don/Sharon & Art/Caroline arrived here at Livingston. We talked to them briefly. Hey, you know what time it is? It’s smoker time. I got a turkey & ham before we left. Tomorrow I will smoke the turkey and everyone will come over for smoked turkey for dinner.
Anyhow, after digging the ditch, Carol’s brother, Steven, wanted to go out. We went to Vanity Fair, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart. We got back to the rig about 10 PM or so. I got the turkey ready for tomorrow and stuck it in the smoker for a 5AM start time. It’s cold enough outside that it will be fine. It’s 10:30 and time to hit the sack.
Tomorrow we will be w o r k i n g……
See ya……….
