Here’s where we spent Tuesday night.
Then Wednesday we arrived in Haines at the Elks. We got FHU (30 AMP) with cable TV for $20. Plus they let us have our 4 o’clock social hour in the lodge later in the day.
As the day progressed everybody showed up.
Here’s me and Don trying to figure out which way north was.
Carol & I went for a drive around town.
Then there was diner at the Lighthouse Restaurant. It was terrible…..don’t go there.
Afterwards Larry & Marilyn drove us all out to bear country. It was about 8 PM. Carol & I were there earlier but no bears.
I just had a little dingy camera and these are the best bears pictures I could get under the conditions.
That’s a ranger to keep people away from the grizzlies.
Their were a total of three bears.
