Well it was a big 187 miles from the North Pole to our present location which is near MM 175 of the Richardson Hwy. It’s south of the Delta Junction before Glennallen.
Hate to meet this guy stuffed or not.
Scenery was outstanding on this drive today…
Some roads are a little rough on vehicles…
Rika’s Roadhouse. It’s now a bus tour roadhouse. They took out the restaurant and now have prepackaged sandwiches for the fast stop crowds!
The skeeters knock you down and then take your blood.
This is it folks. the end of the Alaska Highway, 1422 miles…..
We hung a right and went south on the Richardson Highway. Nice road..
Yep, the Alaska pipeline and me wearing a Gypsy Journal orange T-shirt. Maybe you can get an orange T-shirt at the next Gypsy Journal Rally. Well, at least a t-shirt. I will be there with a seminar not only on driving but on yes you guessed it – Alaska.
Man what a sight…..this glacier was only one of several.
I got over two dozen pictures loaded here so I’m going to wait till tomorrow for some things that happened. One of us got our rig stuck, skeeters, squirrels, & netting plus what ever else happens will be on tomorrow’s blog. It’s going to be a funny one. Oh Larry & Marilyn got their frig replaced and might be back on the road from Anchorage hopefully Friday.
See ya……….
