Today even the wind/rain got involved but it didn’t slow down anybody or anything. It blew off our Magne Shade but not Mac’s who is right next to us. It just isn’t made right for our rig yet.
Today we gave our regular seminar on driving tips and it too was another big hit. I even had some prior students who wanted a refresher. That was nice.
Then later about 20 or so of us went out to dinner at a Chinese place near Walmart. Fun was had by all and the food was pretty good (buffet).
We then went to Walmart. There were a lot of Escapees there stocking up. 700 Escapee families in one area can help the local economy especially the eateries and Walmart.
Oh, I got a new Nikon lens. It’s a 55-300mm. I’m still experimenting with it. We also received the 3 hub caps that I ordered from Spartan last week. I lost them up in Alaska and finally ordered the. I put them on and the Beast is looking better and better. Of course the rain yesterday put a hurtin on the nice clean wash job the
Beast had. A lot of splashed up mud on the sides. Hey, that’s the way it goes. This area really needed the rain like a lot of the mid west does. Glad we could help by being here with all of our clean rigs. That is what brought the rains of course.
Later we sat out with friends and had a few margaritas. We slept well.
See Ya.
It was a whirlwind. I did a a Ladies Only seminar on driving RVs. It was a big hit and I’m glad of that. So much went on and I didn’t take notes or pics and can’t remember everything. How about if I just say it was a blast and you should have been here. this can be pretty norm at a rally especially if you get involved like we do. That’s the fun of it all.

“Don’t take my picture” . Isn’t that a dare?
I think Molly is nodding off..
“Scotty, beam me up!” “I really like my watch that I got in the Cracker Jack Box.”
Friendly faces…. Mike (above) and Terri (below) Church. These are the people that are the authors of Alaskan Camping. Their book is a must have like the Milepost if you go to Alaska. Highly recommended by everyone that has used it.
The “Computer Geeks”. Attend one of their sminars and you will learn a lot….
“Bob, what are you looking at?”
The Vendor social
Isn’t this neat? It’s a pull tab on a Bud beer can. Notice the crown?
Now over to the Boot Camp area. It’s time for a BBQ dinner. It was pretty good.
Now it’s time for Full Timers to talk to Boot Camp attendees about Full timing. First they all answered some basic questions and then they each sat down with a small group. The attendees then got to ask questions about full timing. After a few minutes the full timers rotated tables. Like speed dating. It was a excellent way to get first hand information.
“Please Neil say something. You never talk!” NOT!!!!
