Here’s our site in Grande Cache. We got Chinese to go down the block for dinner and in the morning we had a nearby Subway $2.99 breakfast. It was a quiet night & free kinda !
We left there and headed for Jasper Banff Canada National Parks. We planned on spending a couple of nights in the parks. We drove right through both and forgot to stop. It was just too crowded for our liking. We went 338 miles and ended up west of Canmore in a little Bow Valley Park called Willow Green. No HU’s, big site, water/dump available, $23 a night, not crowded at all. GPS N51.08344 W115.05957
Here’s some pic’s in the sequence that they happened.
Those tiny little specs on the glaciers are people.
Here’s their pilgrimage. Campgrounds were the same too! No thanks!
There are about 6 or so of these bridges/tunnels at the end of the Banff National Park Hwy. This highway was at the end of the park also. Otherwise the roads running thru the parks were what I rated fair at most. These bridges were built so the animals could cross over the highway safely. I wonder if they gave directions to the animals. We thought our government only would do this.
I made a wrong turn looking for a campground and went down this tiny road. I think it was a two way when I wasn’t using it.
The sun finally came out towards 4 or 5 PM. It was bright. Last night was night meaning it got dark. That’s pretty neat. I think our daylight at night has gone by the wayside until 2014.
Tomorrow we are not sure what we are going to do. We might stay here, we might go to Lethbridge, we might go to Waterton Nat Park, or straight on to Great Falls and Malstorm AFB there. Stay tuned….
See ya………….
