Well, it’s been about 79 days ago “The Gang” left from Dawson Creek. Miles we are at 5,820 and that’s from Sweetgrass, MT to here. We are about 800 miles to the border next to Waterton Nat Park (Canada). It’s the way we are going via the Jasper, Banff Parks.
The “Beast” (our RV) did pretty dog on good overall. Right now the Datastorm is not working. I also have the front air gauge go bad just yesterday. That was a little bit of a scare but is replaceable sometime in the future. I have to visually check that the front air bags are filled which is easy enough. The U.S. Gear brake on the car has just about all but stopped working completely. The car brake lights work and that’s about it. Maybe I can get that fixed at the Escapade. A few nicks in the paint but for 6K miles I can’t complain.
We arrived in Dawson Creek around noon (Tuesday). Mile Post 0 campground wanted $41 for their less that average campground. No friggin way. They raised their rates. It was $32 in May. I laughed at them and left. We are heading for Alberta. Hey, that’s why we got solar and big tanks, etc….
Will update later today if Datatstorm works.
See ya…….
Tuesday evening update…Washed the RV at Tubby’s ($22) and a good wash too. Then we left. We are now in Grande Cache, Alberta and we have WiFi. Went 415 miles today. Paid $1.14 litre in Grand Prairie. The Beast took 101 gallons. That just means I had about 49 to go. Hit a hole with the left front tire and knocked my hub cap off and it’s gone. Here are some pics of toady and in the order they were taken.
Home is where we park it. The police station is just a hollar away too. It just worked out that way.
Tomorrow we are not sure where or what we are going to do. We have choices as always.
See ya………..
