Alaska Day 25 Last Day In Fairbanks

We just vegetated our last day here.  I did the windshield and the wheels while Carol cleaned inside the “Baby.”  We will be ready to move tomorrow to a more wilderness atmosphere.  We might even meet up with more Loosey Goosey members.

Eight Days in the Fairbanks immediate area was too much.  Maybe three active days would be better.

Ed/Sandy, Butch/Kathy, Carol & I went to Brewsters for dinner.  It was pretty good.  Afterwards Carol & I decided to go see the other Loosey Goosey members out on Chena Hot Springs Road.  On the way out we saw a moose with her little one.  This little guy was very small and acted like a small dog running around having a blast.  We watched them for about 10 minutes and left.  Next we saw a bull moose with antlers and all.

We finally made it to the “other” guys (O’Bosky group).  They were setting out at the campfire with their mosquito nets on their heads.  They said today was the worst day so far.  We chatted for about a half hour or so.  They’re coming into Fairbanks tomorrow and do the tourist thing.  We gave them what info we knew.

On the way back (40 miles) we saw another moose with her young crossing the road.  They didn’t want anything to do with us and rushed into the brush.  When we got back to our campground it started to rain.  It continued through the night.

Maybe we should go up the Elliott Hwy tomorrow towards the Arctic Circle.

We shall see…….

See ya…………
