I think they pump it from here…
to across the street. This is about the cheapest from here on out so I topped off the tank.
It was a friggin windy day. The weather guy on the radio said the winds were up to 30 MPH. I think they stayed about that. Fuel mileage dropped down into the 5 MPG range. If we still had a 40 footer we would have probably pulled over. The Beast with the tag axle made a BIG difference in the stability. The 18 tons helped. The truck behind the Beast did real nice in that it really didn’t sway like the Mariner would have.
They got some space age machines out here in farm land.
I’ve seen these lightsblinking in years past.
This trucker was making a left turn. Talk about a tight turn.
About 100 miles into Colorado the winds died down.
We did a drive by at the Passport America park in Siebert, CO. It was barely OK so we just said what the hell and went on.
We stopped at a rest area just out of Denver on I-70 which we decided to spend the night. It turned out to be a nice little stop. Not many trucks at all.
The cat was busy. See the bunnies in the upper left.
See ya…….
