Alaska Day 49 Anchorage

We all went downtown to the Market Area.  It was an area that took us around an hour to see all the “stuff.”  There was a lot of local artist items like jewelry, photography, food type items and so on.  Carol got some smelly candles.

Then it was time for the Native American Heritage Center.  Every trip up here we visit this place.  Youngins tell stories of their heritage of their tribes.  It’s pretty cool listening to these young proud kids.  We go outside and each tribe has a different style of homes.  Each one has another young story teller in it.  Here are some pictures.DSCN0350 DSCN0351 DSCN0352 DSCN0353 DSCN0354 DSCN0355 DSCN0356 DSCN0357 DSCN0360 DSCN0361 DSCN0362 DSCN0363 DSCN0364 DSCN0365 DSCN0366 DSCN0367

Then back to base and a trip to the commissary.  We stocked up some more on “Stuff”’.

We ended the night the same as before – all stetting out having laughs and swatting skeeters.
