Nice Traveling Day

Sunday morning and 325 miles to go.  We pulled out about 8 AM and headed North up I-5.  At Weed, CA we got some diesel.  It was $3.82 with 3 cents discount.  The Beast took 87 gallons with an average of 6.3 MPG for the last tank.

Here we go…DSC_0002  DSC_0014  DSC_0024 DSC_0026 DSC_0028 DSC_0034 DSC_0036 DSC_0039

In Oregon if the state scales are closed you can weigh your RV.  They usually leave the scales open and on.  My front axle weighed 14,450 (max 14.6K). My drive axle weighed 19,850 (max 20K) and my tag axle weighed 3,550 (max 10K).  The Jeep weighed 4,100 (max towing 10K). The Gross Combined Weight Rating for the Beast is 54,600 lbs. Now to figure out how to get weight onto my tag axle without adding to my front axle.  Probably lower the air pressure in my drive axle tires.  I don’t know.  Where’s Neil?DSC_0057

We hung a left in Sutherlin and headed for the coast.DSC_0059

Lots of bugs before here.  Nice roads, routes 138 & 38.DSC_0062

We arrived at our park in time for the last 60 laps of NASCAR racing.  What a way to end 325 miles of nice roads today.

This AOR membership park, Osprey Resort (NOT EVEN A RESORT) charged us $3 for electricity.  I will call AOR headquarters Monday because they told me Friday no extra fees.  Plus they charged a local bed tax which is normal for Oregon’s tourist areas I’ve been told.DSC_0081

Anyhow, stay tuned……

See ya….
