We left about 8 AM with about 180 miles to go. Along the way…
Locals call this all sorts things. I call it smog!
We prefer Tehachapi Pass route rather than the pass leaving LA north on Interstate 5. All the yo yo’s are around LA and this is just a better route being not so crowded and fast.
Those are grape vineyards around this oil rig that was running. Do you like a little oil with your grapes or wine?
Cement barriers are fun. I don’t mind them but I’m very aware they’re there.
All little cities should have an old F4 fighter jet.
We arrived around noon at the Visalia Elks. They have 50 AMP, water on flat pavement backed against trees in the back of the lodge. The cost is $20. We will stay here until Saturday and move up to Fresno to my cousin’s driveway. We will probably run the generator for 6-8 hours a day up there. The temps are expected to be near 100 and we won’t have any hook ups.
Here’s are 31 year old daughter. I think she looks more like me than Carol.
She graduates this Friday evening.
To all our friends in Sedalia, have fun, make a toast for us and see ya in January. That is unless someone has a Lear jet they can send out here to pick us up.
See ya…..
