We’re doing fine in Augusta, West Virginia. Too much fun and laziness is the reason for no blog. Maybe the very poor internet too.
More details later on but for a short summary we helped out with the Escapees Boot Camp in TN. Then Mark and I rode the motorcycles the total length of the Blue Ridge Parkway (475 miles) and Skyline Drive (100 miles. A total of 1,365 miles on the bikes, 3 nights in tents and one hotel. We also did a a famous ride called The Back Of The Dragon. It was very cool with it’s unusual turns.
We’re now at Carol’s brother family campground in Augusta, WV. Seven sites and we are loving it. Ed/Sandy Kruty are here along with Butch/Kathy Ford, all good friends. Two of Carol’s brothers came up this past weekend. We had a lot of fun doing nothing. The family campground is nice. Pictures will come another time due to poor internet connection.
The temps have been in the 70-80’s and nights in the 60’s. Some light rain off and on and the cool temps, low humidity are really nice.
Carol & I celebrated our 44 Wedding Anniversary up here and it was a nice and quite one with friends.
Haven’t rode the Harley at all and it’s still dirty from the big trip. Can’t really wash it…no water up here. The water well for the campground will be dug any day now. We got 50 AMP and sewer for now.
