Syria – My Opinion

Syria – First EVER political comment on this blog.  We (U.S.) do the investigation of a foreign country and the use of chemical gas, we come to a conclusion, we are the judge, we are the jury and we do the sentencing and carry out that judgement.  What gives us the right to be the all mighty?  Isn’t there a name for people who carry out their own kind of justice without going through the courts?  Isn’t it illegal for me or you to do that no matter what the original crime was?  Shouldn’t it be illegal for any government to do the same thing no matter how they justify it’s action?   There is an international court and the United Nations.  I guess those take to much time like our own court systems.  I just don’t get it.  We need to fix at least ourselves before we can take care of others.  I just had to get it out of my system and I’ am not sorry, it’s my blog!

I got this nice lady from the visitor center to come out and give us a little talk about Dawson Creek.  I don’t know why she was laughing but she could hardly talk.DSC_0021

I cooked breakfast one morning and nobody showed up.  I guess I forgot to tell anybody it.  I ate all the taters and eggs by myself.  Oh, maybe I planned it that way.DSC_0001

Dawson City NOT Dawson Creek

While in Whitehorse you will have a decision to make about going and doing the Top Of The World Highway above Dawson City.  Dawson Creek is where the Alaska Highway starts.  Dawson City is in the Yukon and where the Top Of The World Highway is.  I would suggest going to the TOP on the way into Alaska vice coming out.  It would be less traveled the opposite direction if you went and did it first.  If you did it on your way out you would meet a lot more vehicles going into Alaska.  The less the vehicles the better off you are.  Go early in the day.  If it ain’t raining or hasn’t rained in a few days it would be kinda safe.  Leave in the early AM before a caravan does or you will be eating their dust for hours and have to wait for them to cross over on the ferry.  We’ve been twice.  Once in bad weather and cussed all the way.  Once in good weather and it was just OK for us.  It really boils down so you can say, “Yes, I’ve been to Chicken and have gone over the Top Of The World Highway.”  If it’s wet weather – DO NOT GO.  It’s friggin dangerous.

I think we will drive on to Tok.  In Tok you can leave your RV and drive your smaller vehicle to Chicken and even Dawson City.  Or you can drive your RV to Chicken from Tok and then drive your smaller vehicle to Dawson City.  Choices, choices…. DSC_0014
