About Time It Smells Like Roses

I was at the dealer at 10AM Sun which was the time I was told their expert would start checking/working on our rig.  Carol & I provided them with our walk thru list the day before.  They never gave us one or did one evidently. The unit was suppose to be available maybe Friday but probably Saturday.  It’s Sunday and I sat in the unit until noon.  Not one worker came by our unit.  I went in the office and went postal on the “man”.  We had words and I won the battle I felt.  It’s nice to be hot and right.  Anyhow, he said that he would have two workers on it at 2 PM today.  I came back at 3 PM and three guys were working it.  Then it was reduced to two then one.  The best guy was last and he was “good”.  He even went over to a new coach and took out a 50 AMP cord roll up container/motor – the whole thing and reinstalled it in our unit.  I was the gopher.  The head worker was working and even told another worker less talk and more work.  Yes – now we are getting things done.  I left at 5 PM and was very pleased.  Tomorrow (Monday) AM we take the Phaeton to the dealer and start to do the switch over on their lot. We have appointments for Tuesday to reinstall the brake controller and the solar system.  We will try to back them up a day or two to make sure we are ready to drive off the lot.  As everybody knows, when you leave the lot the honeymoon is over.  Our datastorm will come down tomorrow so we are at the mercy of others to get emails/do the blog, etc.

People have been asking what kind and the size of our old (new) coach we got.   Well, that’s too easy.  The manufacture was started in 1968 with 6 employees.  In 2001 they were the first company to come out with three slides. So much for the hints about the manufacture.  The length – it’s between 37’ 1” and 45’ 1”.

Note:  Carol’s Mom went into the hospital Saturday for fluid in her lungs again.  They drained her lungs and she returned home today (Sun).  This was the fifth time they have done this procedure. Carol will be flying out to Baltimore to be with her in two weeks and staying a month or so.  It will be me and the heard.

See Ya……….
