Up and rolling about 8 AM. Down the road we picked up the Natchez Trace Pkwy again. We have been up and down the parkway and it’s a nice calm drive – no excitement what so ever. I think they call it a peaceful drive. Try it…
We got off the parkway somewhere….
She flies so proudly anywhere…
What do the women of Mississippi drive…John Deer of course.
Alligators down here in Ole Mississippi.
More cotton. I like the color of their covers.
Times are changing. A friggin guard is one thing but a shack and a golf cart. I bet he has the internet and Dish TV too.
No idea and don’t care…….just something to look at.
Now we are on some Mississippi back roads. My antennas got a whooping. I found a little campground on the map and thought we would go for it. What the hell. It’s an adventure right?!
Well, it sets about a 1/4 mile off the Mississippi River.
The state park is Grand Gulf Military Monument, Port Gibson, MS. It’s off the beaten path for sure and is rich is civil war history. It’s a neat place. 42 sites, $17 FHU (50 AMP) and on a cement pad, with or without shade and paved roads. The state ranger is pretty cool and tells the history as you check in and takes you to your site. He might be bored also. Buildings, museum and “stuff” will keep you busy for a couple of days for sure. It’s on our list to return to.
If this isn’t a Halloween picture……….
Carol found this guy waiting for his dinner.
Same guy but different camera settings….
Plenty of sites available. Check it out sometime.
It has rained everyday since leaving Warsaw, Indiana. The coach underneath is washed…..
We should be in Livingston tomorrow, Sunday. Carol is excited because Marlene is there and they can go back to their Line Dancing routine of sun up to sun down. Where’s the beer…………
See ya….
