Alaska Trip Day 3 To Muncho Lake

Everyone saw a bunch of animals getting to Muncho Lake.  They were all excited.  We stopped to watch a bear that actually ended up circling our RV and sniffing at the compartment doors.DSC_0177 DSC_0181 DSC_0185

There’s about 8 of us (rigs) that stayed here.  No hook up $16 a night.  Worth every penny.  Some of the group went a little further up the road – Loosey Goosey.  Sunny and temps in the mid 60’s.  We have had some brake downs.  One RV left in Dawson Creek due to a  radiator leak, one left in Ft Nelson for an alternator replacement and another along the road for maybe a blown transmission.  All have been checked on by Loosey Goosey members and were told for them to go on.  Repairs were in the making.  They will catch up.

Then we all arrived at Prophet Field, 13 RV’s.  This is a closed down provincial park.  This is our group boone docking.  What a blast.  We spent two nights here and here are some memories.DSC_0071 DSC_0066 DSC_0068 DSC_0072

OH WOW!!!!!!!

The Loosey Goosey Group of 2014 going to Alaska has formed.  Oh wow!  This is really happening.  We got 14 RV’s and 27 people ready to start an adventure of their life time.  We all are excited even Carol & I who have already driven 4 times before.  Have we had problems – yes.  Will we have more problems – yes.  It’s all part of the adventure.

Our 1st official day started out comfortable like this… DSC_0007DSC_0004 DSC_0003  DSC_0009DSC_0008 DSC_0010 DSC_0012

People just wandered around and met and made friends.  It was easy to find people in our group because we all had orange ribbons on our rigs.

Later in the afternoon we got a presentation from the Tourism office.  I forgot the ladies name.  Since her dad was a worker on the Alaska Hwy she gave a personal outlook on the building of the Hwy.  Very informative.  I think it was liked by all 27 members.DSC_0013  DSC_0015 DSC_0016

When she finished we gave out her Milepost Pins from her office and our orange name badges for all.

The day ended with a sip of wine, beer and mead.DSC_0021

Mark brought a sign for hanging up in the Sign Post City in Watson Lake.  More on that when we get there.DSC_0022

Tomorrow we will try to get organized for our group picture of the big Welcome Sign downtown.DSC_0033
