4X4 Again

Here we go another day of riding around in the national forests.

We had plenty of food available if need be.

No place to make a U turn for sure. 

 

It was a little dusty….and it’s not even a week old.

Which way do we go, which way do we go?

Almost the end after 5 hours or so.  Notice my car tag.  It’s under the dirt.

 

Wow, who said free beer?  Carol is having a bad hair day.

 

“You say what!”  Another bad hair day.  How do them women get their hair to stand up like that?

Ed got his part in for his broke down 4X4 Rhino and installed it.  It still won’t run right.  Time to call an expert – again.

I ordered a Demco base plate for our Jeep.  It should be in any day.  I also ordered some side steps (nerf bars) for the Jeep.  They should make it easier to get in and out of the Jeep for Carol & I.

We got some pretty good names for the Jeep so far.

4X4

Names for the Jeep are coming in and we are still undecided.  Keepen coming…. that’s short for keep them names coming in.

Today,  Ed/Sandy, Denny/Susie and us (the orange 4X4 gang) left about 9:30 for today's 4X4 adventure.  We went up, we went down, we went over rocks, thru a tiny bit of water, thru forests, around fallen trees and one dead end, very dusty trails and not so dusty, very narrow and some kinda wide, gravel roads and dirt roads.  Two dead ends counting the big tree we couldn’t get around.  Then we left the RV Park.

Here we go……

Turkeys..look real good and you can see the little ones.

And we got back about 3 PM after 49 miles or so.

1st Off Road For The 4 Day Old Jeep

This morning the wind was not blowing so it’s a good start.  Here are some early AM pictures of our rigs.

We’re off and running for a 40 mile off road adventure.  some were dirt roads, some of it was Jeep trails and some of it was ATV trails.

Carol wants to know waht color the tire was….

Carol found a tree she could hug..

There are living things out here besides us.  We saw nobody else.  

We all stopped because we had an obstacle stopping us and no place to turn around.

About a half hour later we were moving again.

 

   

No pictures of the rough trails.  We were too busy navigating.

Another adventure tomorrow.
