Day 31

Well, we left the beach.  Get it.  Well-Water,

beach=water.

A lot of beautiful scenery for sure.  If you’ve seen it, you know what I am talking about.  If you haven't, too bad….

I’ve been here in the middle of no where, before!  It really is nice!  Gas price was A OK.

We arrived at Ute Casino campground again on this way back.  We passed up our camp spots and we are two nights ahead of ourselves.  FHU $20 and be a PA park

Kraig is holding up a jar of kimchi.  Rotten cabbage to me.

It’s in the high 80s and a slight breeze.  It’s getting better.

Thursday morning it’s in the low 60s.  Hold it and don’t get any lower.

Retirement is watching your pet getting old.

Days 30

First is the short walk around the park with Carol.  I do a half mile and she does a mile.  The temps are around hot…….

Leaving Las Vegas.  A lot of pictures….. 

6 AM, where’s everybody at?

Last night was a wind storm and a rain storm.  Didn’t bother us at all.

Retirement is riding the storms out sometimes.

Day 29

And we’re off – walking again.

Then Denny’s.  Then Walmart.

Walmart.  Four lines with 6-8 customers in each line waiting to get checked out.   They had no customers at the self-pay stations.  I informed the head cashier very politely that they needed more cashiers.  He replied like he really didn’t care about customers and that’s all he had to help.  Big Walmart and only 4 cashiers.! I say, that’s sad!  Next thing I had two guys (mgr,assist mgr?)telling me I can’t take pictures (I had my camera) and wanted them.  I said give me a disk for the camera and they could have the pictures.  They said no.  As I was leaving out the door they said to leave and never return.  Then they called the police.  I slowly left and went out front where two employees followed me wanting the pictures and I would have to wait for the police.  Wrong on both counts.  We left with no further action by them.  Police were a no show in my time frame.  Hey, let Walmart know there are lines if there are……………..and get names!  Tomorrow we are out of Vegas!

About noon Kristy and Jason came over and picked Kraig up to go to the movies.

Oh, the camper is ready to go “commando.”  It wasn’t washed but wiped  down. Over the cab sleeper was not done.  Hard to get to.

Kraig, Kristy, Jason, Carol and myself ended up at Golden Coral for dinner. Hey, do what the locals do and they go there………then later we all said our Good Byes until it happens again.

We sat out around dusk (90’s) and Carol gave up after about 10 minutes. 

I filled our 50 gallon fresh water tank.  In the morning I will get the water, sewer and electrical disconnected.

Retirement is a different type of work involving survival.

Day 28

Yea, another short walk around the park at oh dark thirty in the morning.

Look what I found..

Fake flowers.  I wonder where they went.

Last night Kristy brought over my Amazon package that was delivered to her yesterday.  Probably install it in a week or two.  No rush for sure.

Here’s those bright lights I got for the camper.

Here’s the part I needed to charge my GoPro remote.

Here’s Kraig cooking our breakfast.  He does this on a moments request.

And so forth…..

Retirement is letting others do the work.

Day 27

Up at day light.  Did a short walk.  Next thing is Denny’s.  Ate then Walmart to get just a few things and we did.

Finished putting the new LED bulbs in the camper.  They are just right now.  I got three different bulbs to use and everyone likes these.

Got my GoPro remote control charger yesterday from Amazon.  I left mine back in Livingston.  Its really nice to use the remote with the GoPro 4.  Now I have to learn how to store stuff on the GoPro and then especially edit.  I know zero.  My Nikon camera takes movies but I have never used it.  I know zero.  It’s the edit thing.

Then there is the drone I have and its never been out of the box.  I know zero.   Again, it’s the edit thing.

Wow… not going over 100 degrees today here in Vegas.  It’s STILL friggin hot…I don’t care what they say!

Retirement is forgetting you worked and GOT paid.
